In December 2014 a study has been launched with the title “Study on measuring the contribution of higher education to innovation capacity in the EU” - N° EAC/10/2014. This project is funded by the European Commission – DG Education and Culture and has as its general objective “to develop a stronger evidence of the contribution of higher education systems to innovation capacity”.

An international consortium led by Q-PLAN International Ltd. has been set up in order to conduct the project.

The EUniVation.eu website has been launched to serve as an external communication tool of the study aiming to provide all the information on the objectives, methodological setup and results of the study. The EUniVation.eu site is proposed as an acronym of the main elements of the study title: EUUniversities – Innovation.
